Whenever we talk about site performance then the first thing which comes is the website load time. It is the most important thing because it reduces your bounce rate. It ultimately boosts your ranking. It makes a good impression when the new readers visit your website. If your website loading speed is less than recommended time then there can be many factors behind it.
So first let’s talk about what is a website page speed? It simply means, how fast your content load whenever someone visits your website. Content here means everything that a page contains like images, files, plugins, etc. If your web page load in 2-3 seconds then you can consider it good and if it takes a longer time then it is not good.
Why does the website load speed matter? Whenever any new visitor tries to open your web page but if it takes more time then, of course, he will close your web page. It increases your bounce rate which is not good. You can take the example of yourself, whenever you search for something on Google then lots of posts come from different sites and you will that one which will load fast. Normally, a user wants a web page to load in 1-2 seconds. Long loading time just increases the bounce rate. For a healthy and visitor-friendly site, website page speed matters a lot.

There are many plugins available you can choose so I am not going to tell you about any particular plugin. Google suggests uploading images in webp format instead of png, jpg, or any other. WordPress doesn’t support this format but you can convert your uploaded images in webp format by using plugins.
3. Avoid redirecting
If you can then just avoid redirecting. There may be cases where it may be important for you to redirect one link to another but even then avoiding doing too many redirects increase the load time of websites and gradually decrease the website performance.
4. Minify Javascript, CSS & HTML
Whenever you tried to edit Html you see a colorful page, well organized, and also contain a lot of space but do you know it can increase your website load time. So the solution is just to minify Javascript, CSS, and HTML, it removes all unnecessary spaces, characters, and other things that are not important. You can do it easily by installing the different plugins. Almost all optimization plugins have these options. So just go and make sure to do it.
5. Delete unnecessary Plugins
You sometimes install some plugin for some use and after that, you forget to delete it then don’t do it from now. It can increase your website load time. Some plugins don’t get regular updates or maybe you haven’t updated them. You should delete all the plugins that are none of your use. 6. Use CDN
If your website is hosted in India and someone from India visits it then it doesn’t take too much time to load but if someone from America tried to open it then it can take more time to load. Whenever someone visits your website it sends a request to the server and then the server responds. If the server lies at the nearest place then it will respond fast and reduce the load time of websites.
By using CDN, Content Delivery Network you can solve all your problems. It stores information on different servers so now whenever someone from that lives far away tries to open your site then it will send a request to the server that is nearest to it. It means the server will respond fast and it will reduce the load time of your website. Most CDN are paid but it truly increases your website speed so if you have money then you can go for it.
7. Clean media library
When you install some themes on your site then it installs some images that you don’t even need. You sometimes upload some files that you don’t even work then instead of keeping them you should clean them.
Sometimes you install new themes too then just keep the theme you are using and delete all the themes that you are not using. You should always delete all the unnecessary files that you don’t need because it can increase website load time.
