In this year’s Maharashtra Premier League (MPL), 18-year-old Under-19 cricketer Arshin Kulkarni did such a feat that everyone was surprised. Despite his already solid reputation, no one expected the remarkable performance he displayed in his third match. Playing for Eagle Nashik Titans, Kulkarni achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a brilliant century and taking four wickets, helping his team secure a narrow victory over Puneri Bappa.

Kulkarni’s batting performance was exceptional as he displayed sublime skill, hitting 3 fours and an impressive 13 sixes in his 117 off only 54 balls. He formed a strong partnership with Rahul Tripathi, helping his team reach a total of 203 runs. When it was Eagles Nashik Titans’ turn to defend their score, Kulkarni displayed his prowess with the ball as well. He took four wickets for just 21 runs, two of which came in the deciding final over of the match. Their impressive bowling began with the crucial wicket of Yash Kshirsagar, and they continued to defend the total.
Throughout his innings, Kulkarni was not deterred by his team’s early loss of wickets. In the fifth over, he launched a scintillating attack on left-arm spinner Shubham Kothari, hitting three sixes and scoring 21 runs. It was the start of an outstanding performance, as the young cricketer brought up his fifty in just 24 balls.
Kulkarni was given a life on 72 when Pawan Shah dropped a catch, a crucial moment which allowed him to continue with his batting. Taking advantage of the opportunity, he completed his first century in 46 balls.
