CUET-UG 2022: 50% Attendance Recorded In Debut Edition, Says National Testing Agency

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday conducted the final day examination of Common University Entrance Test Under Graduate (CUET-UG) 2022 phase six, registering 60 per cent attendance, as reported by news agency PTI.

Meanwhile, the examination could not be conducted that day at a center in Jharkhand’s Radha Govind University as 103 candidates were affected due to slow internet speed, officials said.

“The examination for these candidates will be conducted at a later date,” a senior NTA official said.

Earlier all the phases of CUET-UG were scheduled to end on 20th August as per the initial plan. However, the exam was additionally postponed and divided into six phases to accommodate the students whose exams were rescheduled due to some glitches in the exam.

On the last day of the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) exam, more than one lakh students appeared for the exam today. Students and parents were also largely upset due to the postponement of the CUET examinations, which lasted for more than one and a half months.

Today was the last day of the examination which was going on for one and a half months. That’s why students came from far and wide to give the exams which were postponed again and again.

The Phase 6 exam was conducted at 385 centers in 241 cities including nine cities outside the country including Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore and Kuwait City.

The second day of Phase 5 was scheduled on 22nd August (Monday) for 79459 candidates in 347 examination centers in 234 cities of 33 States/UTs in both the slots.
