CUET-UG 2022: Results To Be Out Today On — Know How Marks Will Be Normalised

New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) may declare the result of Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (CUET-UG) Exam 2022 today. UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, while talking to news agency ANI last week, had said that the result is expected by September 15, 2022. However, no official announcement of date and time has been made yet.

Once declared, the results will be posted on the official website – – candidates will be able to log in and check their result.

The UGC chairman told ANI, that colleges should keep their web portals open to initiate the UG admission process on the basis of CUET-UG scores. Earlier on Tuesday, NTA had released how the scores would be normalised. The normalization process is based on percentile and equi percentile method.

NTA will use the following steps for normalization:

  • Record the number of students appeared in a shift and find out the percentage in the session using the raw marks.
  • These will be arranged in descending order.
  • To note down the marks of missing students in each shift, NTA will use linear interpolation method. (Interpolation is a mathematical way of estimating the missing marks of students who are absent in one shift because they have already taken the exam in the second shift.)
  • Through this method, each percentile score of the candidates will be sorted in descending order which includes marks of both shifts, raw marks and interpolated marks.
  • Finally, NTA will calculate the average of the actual raw marks in one shift and the marks obtained in the second shift using interpolation.
