Delhi University has issued an important notice regarding admission in the academic year 2023-24. As per the notice, admission to UG and PG courses will be through CUET next year. This notice is available on the official site of DU at entry.uod.ac.in. In the notice, the university has said that admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be conducted on the basis of Common University Entrance Test, CUET score.
”In the meeting of the Executive Council of University of Delhi held on 8 December 2022, it was decided that from the academic session 2023-23, admissions will be done at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels including reserved category and minority quota. Completely centrally conducted on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score. ” reads the notice.
Earlier on December 22, the University Grants Commission (UGC) announced the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET-UG) and Postgraduate (CUET-PG) exam dates. CUET UG exam will be conducted from May 21 to 31, 2023 and CUET PG exam will be conducted from June 1 to June 10, 2023.
The medium of examination will be in 13 languages- Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The number of subjects and the pattern of question papers will remain the same. A candidate can also give 6 domain subjects in addition to one/two languages and general test.
Apart from this, the UGC also announced that it plans to release the result for CUET-UG in the third week of June 2023 and the result for CUET-PG in the first week of July 2023. The academic session is expected to start from August 1. 2023 onwards.
