His innings included 3 fours and 3 sixes and came at a strike rate of 200. Tendulkar played some exceptional shots in the innings. Once against a fast bowler, he came down to hit the ball maximum at long on region. On the second occasion, again against a fast bowler, he played a hook shot. That was something rare and special on Tendulkar’s part.

Fans couldn’t stop raining on Tendulkar as he again showed that class is permanent. At the age of 49 and even 9 years after retiring from the game, Tendulkar continues to bat like a dream and fans who attended the game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun could not have asked for more.

At the end of the innings, India Legends posted 170/5 in 20 overs. As reported earlier, Tendulkar scored 40 runs. Tendulkar’s former India teammate Yuvraj Singh scored 31 runs in 15 balls which included 1 four and 3 sixes. Stuart Binny scored 18 runs in 11 balls and hit 2 fours and 1 six respectively. Don’t forget, Pathan Bhai played great cricket with the bat as well. Yusuf Patha, who came to bat at number five, scored 27 runs in just 11 balls, which included 1 fur and 3 sixes respectively. On the other hand, Irfan Pathan provided the finishing touch with 11 runs in 9 balls which included 1 six.

Stephen Perry, who took 3 wickets in his 3-over spell in a rain-hit 15-over match in Dehradun, was the best bowler for England at night. Chris Schofield also took a wicket and he was as big a wicket as Tendulkar.
