Harry Brook Hits First Century Of IPL 2023 In SRH vs KKR Game, Twitter Reacts

In a thrilling match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Harry Brook scored an unbeaten century and became the first player to do so in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Brook’s 100 came off just 55 balls and set the tone. for an impressive total at the Eden Gardens on Friday. He wasted no time in unleashing his attacking skills from ball one, and despite having struggled with spin in the past, he was able to rise to the challenge and hit his stride.

Reflecting on his innings, Brook shared, “I’ve had a bit of trouble with spin but I wanted to use the powerplay to my advantage. So wanted to rotate the strike in the middle overs and let the other boys do the hitting.” Wanted to deliver. It’s a very good pitch, we have to bowl right of our length and take wickets. Apart from Brook’s stellar performance, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Aiden Markram contributed a quickfire fifty to the total. His 50 came off just 26 balls and helped the team post a mammoth score of 228/4. Youngster Abhishek Sharma also played a vital role in the innings by scoring a blistering 32 off just 17 balls. For Kolkata Knight Riders, Andre Russell took three wickets, while Varun Chakravarthy took one wicket.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting lineup proved too strong for Kolkata Knight Riders, and they will look to defend their impressive total in the second innings. With a strong team effort, Sunrisers Hyderabad will aim to continue their winning streak in the IPL 2023 season.
