IIM Lucknow’s Annual Cultural And Sports Fest Kicks Off With 30,000 Participants

MANFEST-Varakshwaj, the annual business, cultural and sports fest of IIM Lucknow began on February 10, 2023. On February 10, 2023, Director Professor Archana Shukla and senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka inaugurated the function. According to the press statement, he expressed happiness over the return of the festival to offline format after three years and said that the sessions with renowned speakers would be beneficial for the children.

The festival sees over 30,000 participants from colleges across the country in various competitions. MANFEST-Varchswa returns after three years in offline mode and promises to be bigger and better!

“The participants displayed zeal and enthusiasm as they showed in Joust, Debate Competition. Also, they showcased their theatrical skills in Halla Bol, a mono-act competition. The event was graced by renowned Bollywood actor Mohd Sarwar. Mir was judged,” reads the official statement.

Prominent leaders who interacted with the students today included Ashok Khemka, IAS officer, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Archives, Rahul Shinde, CEO, Yum Brand at Devyani International Limited, TV Rao, Ex-IIM Professor and Father of Human Resource Development. Kamlesh Varshney, IRS officer, expert on Indian tax policy.

“The contestants lit up the streets with their scintillating moves in Vibes – Freestyle Solo Dance Competition and Inferno – Street Dance Challenge. Rock Band, Stairway to Hell turned up the heat for music lovers with its unique combination of chords and magical symphony Competition,” further reads the statement.

The Supply Chain Workshop is being presented by Mr. Venkatesh Seshadri, Head of Supply Chain Consulting, CII Institute of Logistics in association with MANFEST-Supreme. It was a great opportunity to learn important knowledge and skills needed to expand the company. Thanks to the session, the participants were able to enhance their knowledge of Supply Chain Management.

The day also saw the conclusion of three management case competitions: Maestro by ICICI Lombard, Vitanium by Union Bank, and Strategica by Costa Coffee.

The participants will have an enthralling experience of fun, frolic and learning during the next two days.
