Team India will look to leave behind the T20 World Cup 2022 disappointment and start afresh in the 2nd T20 International vs New Zealand on Sunday (November 20). Not to forget that the first T20I between the two sides was washed out due to rain in Wellington. The second T20 International is to be played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The weather is also not looking great for this match as 90 per cent chances of rain were predicted by weather tracking apps. However, the weather is expected to clear up for at least a short game in the evening and night.

Hardik Pandya to lead a young team in this series, The Indian team includes players like Ishan Kishan, Umran Malik, Shubman Gill. Sanju Samson and Deepak Hooda may not be that young but they are very good T20 players. This is a team that is more adapted to the format and that believes in playing attacking cricket.
Big stars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul are missing in this series. So it gives the youngsters a chance to rise to the occasion and do well in the India shirt.
Keep an eye on Suryakumar Yadav who is in very good form. He is the number one T20 player in the world and it will be interesting to see how he fares in New Zealand conditions.

New Zealand also wants to reboot. Kane Williamson still leads the team as they still cannot rely on other players to lead them in T20Is. However, Williamson’s form and strike rate have been criticized by many experts. His poor performance in Australia in the T20 World Cup is testimony to that. He will have to do well against India to save his place. Finn Allen, Glenn Phillips are other T20 players in the New Zealand lineup who will be interesting to watch.
