are not already booked, I earnestly request you to come with me to
my family at Maldah. No doubt, you will miss there some of the amenities you are used to in Calcutta. Still I do not think you will feel altogether dull and bored. Maldah has many attractions of its own. The ruins of Gour and Pandu are very close to the present town. I shall also take you to Ramkeli, sacred to the memory of Lord Srichaitanya and the devout brothers, Rupa and Sanatan. They will take you back to the glorious days of Bengal’s past. Lastly, there is the famous Maldah fazli. I have also some friends there. So there is no fear about your feeling lonely in your new surroundings.
In the family too you will not feel ill at ease. I have a brother and a sister, both mere children. They are very fond of me and like my company. Of my parents I need not write anything.
