NEET UG 2023 Counselling To Begin Soon, Check Important Details Here

NEET 2023 counseling is expected to start soon. The result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 was declared earlier this month. Candidates who have qualified in the exam will have to apply for the counseling to secure the medical seat. Medical seats in the country are divided between All India and State quota in the ratio of 15-85. States are responsible for conducting NEET counseling independently, while the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) handles the NEET UG counseling process for All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats.

MCC NEET counseling for 2023 will cover 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government colleges and 100 per cent seats in deemed or central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC/AFMS, and BSc Nursing programs based on NEET score.

NEET AIQ 2023 counseling process will consist of four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up and Stray Vacancy. The number of rounds may vary depending on the availability of seats. The seat allotment will be decided by factors like NEET 2023 rank, candidate’s preference, seat availability and reservation criteria.

This year, around 20.38 lakh candidates appeared for NEET out of a total of 20.87 lakh applicants. Out of these, 11,45,976 candidates have qualified for the NEET UG exam.
