IND vs SL: Team India batsman Sanju Samson has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the India vs Sri Lanka T20I series, the BCCI confirmed on Wednesday (January 4). After a long wait, Sanju was given a chance in the T20I squad as star players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma were rested for the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
“Sanju Samson has been ruled out of the rest of the T20I series. The All India Senior Selection Committee has replaced Sanju Samson with Jitesh Sharma,” the BCCI tweeted.

“Samson injured his left knee while trying to bowl near the boundary ropes during the first match. T20I at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The BCCI medical team took him to Mumbai this afternoon for scans and expert opinion and he has been advised rest and rehabilitation.”
