Yet another ‘unruly and inappropriate’ behavior by a passenger on a flight was reported and caught on camera. As per preliminary details, a heated argument broke out between an elderly passenger and the SpiceJet cabin crew on January 23, 2023, a part of which was shared on video by ANI. The reason for the heated argument is not yet clear. The incident took place at Delhi International Airport on Delhi-Hyderabad SpiceJet flight SG-8133. According to SpiceJet, an elderly passenger and his co-passenger behaved in an unruly and inappropriate manner after boarding.
Both the passengers were offloaded from the aircraft and handed over to the security team at the airport. Following which, the police arrested a flier for misbehaving with a lady cabin crew member. The complaint was lodged by the airline’s security officer Sushant Srivastava on behalf of the cabin crew member, he said. The passenger has been identified as Absar Alam, a resident of Jamia Nagar, Delhi. He was going to Hyderabad with his family.

The accused was booked under Indian Penal Code section 354A (sexual harassment) at IGIA (Indira Gandhi International Airport) police station and arrested. “On January 23, 2023 SpiceJet’s wet-leased Korendan aircraft was to operate SG-8133 (Delhi-Hyderabad). During boarding at Delhi, a passenger behaved in an unruly and unbecoming manner, harassing and harassing the cabin crew ” SpiceJet said in a statement.
As can be seen in the video, a SpiceJet flight attendant talks to the elderly passenger and says, “She is crying”. Responding to which the elders say, “Speak in Hindi.” Some passengers get up to calm the situation. Full details of the incidents are not yet available.
