SSC Exams 2023: Number Of Papers Reduced To Six For This Academic Year In Telangana

Telangana government has announced that the exam papers of SSC public examinations for the academic year 2023 will be reduced from eleven to six in order to ease the burden on the students. The state government had earlier reduced the number of papers for the last two academic years due to the COVID pandemic and decided to continue with the format.

Even after The number of papers was reduced in the academic year 2020-21, all the exams could not be conducted due to the pandemic. All the students who registered for the exam were declared passed and assigned grades based on their internal assessment scores.

During the academic year 2021-22, the SSC exam was conducted for six papers and the results were also declared. Now, the paper cut has been extended for the current academic year as well.

“The government has reduced the number of papers in SSC Public Examination 2023 to six papers and 100 per cent syllabus for the exam will be covered,” a senior official was quoted as saying by Telangana Today report.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government had introduced a six-paper pattern for SSC exams for the 2022-23 academic year.

As per the directive, the government will link its schools with CBSE and train the first group of students to take CBSE public exams in the academic year 2024-2025.

Consequently, starting from the academic year 2022-2023, the government will align the SSC exams with the six-question paper pattern of CBSE instead of the current eleven exams.
