Swiss President Ignazio Cassis has praised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for implementing educational reforms in the state. Cassis’ praise for CM Reddy comes ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023. Cassis gave importance to the welfare programs implemented by CM Jaganmohan Reddy, especially the educational system.
Jagan Mohan Reddy changed the face of government schools through the Nadu-Nedu programme, Cassis told the United Nations Office at the “Education for the Future” conference in Geneva. Additionally, he appreciated the government for providing all the necessary facilities to the government school students.
CM Reddy was recently honored by the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland for his contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals. He was recognized for the Nadu Nedu scheme implemented by his government at the International Cooperation Forum – Education for the Future, held in Geneva, Switzerland from February 15 to February 16, 2023.
The Global Investors Summit (GIS) will be held in Andhra Pradesh on 3rd and 4th March.
It is likely that the participants of the event – leaders and representatives of national and international industries – will announce investments worth trillions of rupees.
Before the summit, CM Reddy expressed satisfaction. He said that the state has made unwavering efforts to ensure that the summit is a remarkable success and attracts industry leaders from across the globe. “It is a significant achievement that investors like Birla, Bangar, Adani and Bhajanka are now planning to invest in Andhra Pradesh, as the inauguration of their plant in the state is testimony to the fact that AP has earned their trust,” he was told by PTI.
He said, “Here I am inviting you to Visakhapatnam, which will be our capital in the days to come.”
