Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2023 Schedule Released, Choice-Filling From Tomorrow

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Tamil Nadu has released the schedule for the state’s National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counseling 2023, which is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes. The process of choice filling and locking for counseling will start from tomorrow, 25th July. Eligible candidates can visit the official website tnmedicalselection.net to fill their preferred choices. As per the schedule, the last date for registration, payment of fee and filling of choices has been fixed as July 31. Candidates are advised to complete these procedures within the given time frame to secure their desired seats in MBBS & BDS programs in Tamil Nadu.

The seat allotment result will be declared on August 3, indicating the seats allotted to candidates based on their choices and merit. From August 4 to August 8, candidates can download the provisional allotment order, which will officially confirm their allotted seats. The last date for the candidates to join the allotted seats is August 8. It is important for the candidates to complete the admission process and report to their respective colleges within this time limit to secure their seats.

Candidates are advised by DMER to review their choices and order of preference carefully before locking, as editing will not be possible after locking. Additionally, if a candidate fails to manually lock their choices before the last date, the system will automatically lock their choices. It is further clarified that in Round 2, candidates cannot take admission in the category which they did not opt ​​for in Round 1. Once the seats are allotted, candidates need to download the allotment order and visit the respective colleges with all the required documents.

The document verification process will be conducted in the colleges. In addition, candidates must submit a self-declaration form acknowledging that any discrepancy found during the admission process may result in cancellation of their admission.
