It may sound simple, like just Summarizing what you read and writing it down! But it isn’t!
Summarizing is a different skill and if you want to summarize a given text or paragraph then you need to understand the whole paragraph deeply, pick out the most important of the texts from the paragraph.
So the next time you read any given passage, try to summarize the whole paragraph at the end, which means after completing your reading!

READ IN SMALL PORTIONS
If you find it hard to digest a biiiiiiiig chunk of paragraph reading at a time, then try to divide that big chunk of paragraph and start to read and understand in parts.
Break Large parts of paragraphs into smaller and simpler ones, ready one or two paras then try summarizing that paragraph, then hop on to the next one, and so on.
It’s a simple and normal but effective tip that you can keep in your mind to improve your understanding of what you are reading
