According to an analyst at Bank of America (BoA), the launch of the upcoming iPhone 15 line could be delayed till October. Global securities analyst at BoA named Vamsi Mohan has said that the official unveiling of the iPhone 15 series could be delayed by “a few weeks”, which means we will not see the launch of the iPhone 15 series in September. A research note shared by Mohan with Barron’s mentions that the launch could happen in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2023, as spotted by MacRumors.
Netflix is ending password sharing in India
Netflix recently took a significant step in India by implementing a policy to eliminate password sharing, restricting account access to “household” members only. Truecaller assistant launched to take calls on behalf of users
A month after relaunching the call recording feature for both Android and iOS users, Truecaller on Thursday launched Truecaller Assistant in its biggest market India, which leverages machine learning (ML) and cloud telephony to build call-screening solutions. Truecaller Assistant is currently available only for Android users and will “answer call” on behalf of the user to fight fraud and spam calls. It screens calls, filters out spammers, and tells the user who is calling and why. It will support Hindi, English as well as “Hinglish”.
Twitter CEO says 99 percent of content on the platform is ‘healthy’
Twitter CEO Linda Yacarino has denied recent reports of a rise in hateful and harmful content on the platform, even though she says otherwise. According to the new Twitter CEO, more than 99 percent of the content users and advertisers see on the micro-blogging platform is “healthy”. He also said that only a small amount of content on Twitter needs enforcement. This comes after a report by news agency Bloomberg that after Elon Musk’s Twitter acquisition, there has been a dramatic increase in hateful, violent and misogynistic posts on the platform, according to researchers.
Google is testing an AI that can generate news
Google is currently conducting tests on a new product that uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to generate news, according to three sources familiar with the matter, The New York Times reported. The product, known internally as Genesis, has been presented to various news organizations including News Corp, owner of the NYT, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal.
