new Delhi: Twitter has finally removed the ability to see which device a tweet comes from. Previously, users could see publicly at the bottom of each Tweet whether it was created from iPhone, Android, or the web. Now, they won’t be able to see the original device with the new changes on the platform starting today. However, the time and date will still be publicly visible.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk previously said that he is working to remove the ability to see who tweets come from. The update finally arrived with Elon Musk welcoming it by saying ‘Hallelujah’.
The update is retroactive in nature, meaning that all tweets that have happened before will not show the original device the tweet comes from.
Netizens mock iPhone users with memes
The new update will prevent Apple iPhone users from flexing their iPhones as it will not be publicly visible on tweets. Netizens are making fun of him with sarcastic memes.
