Instagram specifically states that blue ticks should not be interpreted as “a symbol showing importance, authority, or competence of the subject area.”

The process to verify your Instagram account:
– Open Instagram app.
– Login with credentials.
– Click on your profile picture.
– In the right corner there are horizontal lines. Click on it.
Click on ‘Settings’ option from the menu.
– Click on ‘Account’ option.
Click on ‘Request Verification’ option.
Fill in the appropriate details.
Upload all the required documents.

After submitting your request, you will know within 30 days whether the account has been verified or not.
